My Top Five All Time Favourite TV Shows

August 17, 2018

1. Suits
Suits has been my best Tv show for a long time. When Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams left the show earlier this year, I thought that the network would decide to cancel the show or it would lose its touch. I was wrong. Can’t tell you how excited I was when it got renewed for season 8, and the first three episodes of the season have been nothing short of thrilling. I am loving the new power girl – Samantha. She’s awesome.

I think what makes suits a strong show is how every scene feels very well thought after an extremely well calculated. Every scene is rich, and independent, with a story. The characters have great chemistry. I love the way the subject of morality, integrity and work ethics is brought out in the show. Suits teaches me that your workmates are pretty much your family. I can’t wait to see how the sexual/love chemistry between Dona and Harvey plays out in this season.

2. Nikita
The show ended a few years back, but there was just something about Nikita that did it for me. It’s probably because the main character is a woman – beautiful powerful, smart, respected, feared, can fight and hold a gun. I am a sucker for such characters. The action scenes where she kicked the guy’s asses were also really well put together. Every time I rewatch an episode of the show, am re-energized, motivated – I pretty much feel like superwoman, ready to conquer the world.

3. 24 legacy
If you know me in person, you will know that am not into action tv. I like watching stuff I can relate to – real life stories if you will. 24 legacy was an exception. The original 24 series that stirred Jack Bauer was okay but I was crazy about the last season – 24 legacy that stirred Corey Hawkins. I benched watched the whole thing in a night. Every episode is fast-paced and very intriguing /captivating. The use of technology to look for terrorists at the CTU was one of the things I loved most about the show.

4. Scandal
Like I said before, am a sucker for women in power and scandal does a perfect job in bringing that out. Olivia Pope has been a household name for several years now. Most fans wish they could hate her for sleeping with the president, but they can’t. Olivia Pope sexy, very smart, independent, powerful woman and the show revolves the use of her mind to solve scandals – scandals that only she, can figure out. The president knows it, the first lady knows it too. Nobody can get enough of her.

5. Vampire Diaries
All through campus, I watched vampire diaries. Am not much a supernatural genre fun but I made an exception for VD. Maybe it’s because I have a crush on one of the characters – Stefan Salvatore. Nway, the point is, I fell in love with the show and the love never died. Every episode is an adventure – a perfect balance of supernatural power, sex, love betrayal, friendship, and death.
